Sonos is the darling of DIY sound systems, giving access to professional-quality sound and Wi-Fi-enabled whole home audio to anyone who knows how to plug speakers into an Ethernet port. The CEDIA conference in October brought a new dimension to this popular consumer sound system with the addition of add-ons from other companies that will give dealers custom options for Sonos system installation.

PlayBlox Sonos Enclosure from Thenos


If you want a system that you can hear but not see, PlayBox, a new enclosure from Thenos, will give your Sonos system a more polished and clean look. A Dallas-based installation expert invented the enclosure for consumers who want a more elegant solution to a bulky box mounted on the wall. The enclosures will be available in black and white for consumers and metal for commercial installations, and will be sold to dealers at a discounted rate and consumers at full price. Thenos PlayBox products will be available in the next few months.

ToneCase from Leon Speakers

ToneCase Sonos

Leon Speakers, known best for exquisite custom cabinets, shared the newest product line called ToneCase, a series of enclosures designed to conceal Sonos PLAY bookshelf speakers and the Sonos Playbar soundbar. The wooden enclosures, which will be available in black, white, and natural wood tone, are developed specifically for Sonos products, with cord holes right where installers need them to be and perfectly-fitted grilles to cover the front. The ToneCase line also offers a stylish way to mount the Sonos Playbar soundbar to your television, the TcFIT. With a flush fit and sleek design that makes the Playbar disappear, these options will let you to enjoy the sound without distraction. TcFIT retails for $595.
