Sonos has announced that by the end of the year, you will be able to play Apple Music through your Sonos wireless speaker set-up. Apple Music is the new Apple streaming service that allows users access to the entire Apple catalog of over 30 million songs and curate playlists in addition to live radio broadcasts. Apple Music also offers Apple Connect where artists can directly connect with their fans.
The Sonos Play:1 ($199), Play:3 ($299), and Play:5 ($399) are available for purchase now. Each one of these will soon allow streaming from the Apple Music service, and the app will be integrated into your Sonos control system. The Sonos Play:1 is a crystal clear and deep powerful speaker using Hi-Fi sound. It connects directly to your home’s wireless system, with the only drawback being that it is not Bluetooth compatible. This speaker can already wirelessly stream services such as Spotify and Pandora, but with the addition of Apple Music, you will have access to an even greater catalog of music plus more control over what you are listening to. The Sonos controller app is easy to use on your computer, tablet, or phone, and works on both Android and iOS systems.
The Sonos Play:3 includes all of the above features… and then some. This wireless speaker can be hung vertically or horizontally, and the sound can easily fill an entire room. Moving up to the Sonos Play:5… it comes with five custom drivers with 5 digital amps for full-bodied sound at any volume. It is the original bigger room, bigger sound speaker from Sonos.
